Little Laxers FAQ's

What is the Kindergarten Little Laxers Program?

Girls in kindergarten will have practice once a week for 1 hour.  This is a non-competitive clinic. All of the girls will practice at the same time.  There is no uniform to purchase. The clinics will begin in late April and continue until early June.

What equipment does my child need?

Girls in Kindergarten only need a Girls Starter Lacrosse Stick and should wear cleats or sneakers for play on turf or grass.

Does my child need a uniform?

Kindergarteners do not need uniforms and all Little Laxers will be provided a HGYL Pinney or T-Shirt at the start of the season.

Who coaches the teams?

Hopkinton Girls Youth Lacrosse relies on its parents as volunteer coaches.  No lacrosse experience is required to become a coach. HGYL offers coaches clinics during the pre-season to help coaches prepare and practice plans are also shared amongst coaches.
