2026 HGYL Season Program and Schedule UPDATES

Welcome to the 2026 Spring Hopkinton Girls Lacrosse Season!

We're thrilled to build on the success of our Spring 2025 season as we head into 2026. Our Girls program is thriving, with players developing their skills and love for the game. We look forward to you becoming part of the Hopkinton Girls Youth Lacrosse community for the 2026 season!

Important HGYL Season Dates:
November 14, 2025	Registration Begins for all K-8 Programs
January 15, 2026	Final Registration closes for all 1st - 8th grade programs, and Wait list & LATE FEE ($50) begins
March 4, 2026	INDOOR Season practices begin for 3-8 Programs (no additional cost) @ Forekicks Marlborough
March 18, 2026	INDOOR Season practices begin for 1/2 Program (no additional cost) @ Forekicks Marlborough
March 31, 2026	Final registration closes for Kindergarten (Little Laxers), and Wait list begins
April 3, 2026	1st 2026 HGYL SELECT League Game (Fridays) for Grades 5-8
April 12, 2026	1st 2026 HGYL CLASSIC League Game (Sundays) for Grades 1-8
Week of April 13, 2026	OUTDOOR Season practices begin at Fruit St. TURF (Kindergarten Sunday Clinic start date TBD)
May 15, 2026	Last 2026 HGYL SELECT Regular season Game for Grades 5-8 (Good Luck in the Playoffs, Girls!)
June 7, 2026	Last 2026 HGYL CLASSIC League Game (Sundays) for Grades 1-8 and Last Kindergarten Sunday Clinic.
June 13 & 14, 2026	1st Weekend of Jamboree (Levels 5th/6th & 7th/8th)
June 20 & 21, 2026	2nd Weekend of Jamboree (Levels 1st/2nd & 3rd/4th)

2026 Hopkinton Girls Youth Lacrosse Program UPDATES

HGYL will send out additional communications regarding our Spring Season, schedules, SWAG store, and Uniform details for the 2026 Season over the next few months.

Hopkinton Girls Youth Lacrosse plays in the Mass Youth Lax League (MYL):

We enjoy all the same benefits MYL has to offer Hopkinton and to play closer to home in the WEST CENTRAL Division of MYL.
Our schedule and rules are set by the MYL and based on recommendations from US Lacrosse.

2026 MYL CLASSIC League (Sundays) Game Dates:

Week 1 - Sunday, April 12
Week 2 - Sunday April 19
Week 3 - Sunday April 26
Week 4 - Sunday May 3
Week 5 - Sunday May 10
Week 6 - Sunday May 17
NO GAMES ON MAY 24 - Memorial Day Weekend
Week 7 - Sunday May 31
Week 8 - Sunday June 7

2026 Indoor Season @ ForeKicks Marlborough): WEDNESDAYS - 3/4 to 4/8

Indoor Season Start date will start Wednesday, March 4th, 2026 for Grades 3-8.
Grade 1/2 age group’s indoor practices will start on Wednesday, March 18th, 2026.
Reducing indoor practice time slots to 1 hour (vs. 90 min.), so that each age group has a full field to play on.
Adding an extra practice time slot for the 3/4 age group (outside) and potentially 5/6 & 7/8 Select Team additional practice (TBD)

HGYL's Little Laxers Girls Program for Kindergarteners

This fun non-competitive clinic is a great chance to introduce your Kindergartner to Lacrosse. Girls in Kindergarten will have practice once a week for 1 hour on Sundays (time TBD). All of the girls will practice at the same time working on beginner lacrosse skills. There is no uniform to purchase, as HGYL Pinneys or T-shirts will be given out to all players as part of the program. The Little Laxers Sunday Clinics begin late April and go to early June.

5/6 and 7/8 Select Team Offerings:

Players in grades 5-8 can choose to participate in the SELECT program which is part of MYL's Select League. Players who choose to register for a SELECT Team must also play on a HGYL CLASSIC team.

Select players are coached by Hopkinton teacher and previous HHS Girls Varsity Lax Coach Katelyn Wedemeyer (Barry) and play in a higher-level and more competitive league, which culminates in playoffs and the opportunity to be selected to the MYL All-Star Team!

Week 4 - Friday, April 24

Week 5 - Friday, May 1

Week 6 - Friday, May 8

Week 7 - Friday, May 15

(All regular season games must be played and scores submitted by Wed, May 20)
